Our Role and Responsibilities
Gopher It promises to deliver your package as agreed upon.
Pick Up Time
Pick up times are mutually agreed upon when placing the order. We cannot guarantee an exact time of pickup but expect your product to be ready at the time specified by you . Our drivers will wait a maximum of 8 minutes if the order is not ready on the agreed upon time, after which he will move on. A fee of $5 will be charged even if we do not deliver your order. In the event that the driver does return to complete your order that day a fee of $5 will be added to the original order.
Package Size, Weight and Condition
It is your responsibility to ensure that all packages are fit and safe to be handled and carried by us. The maximum weight of any one package is 25lbs, surcharges apply for packages over 25lbs. If your item is fragile please advise us immediately so that we may arrange proper transport.
All of our fees are subject to HST. Our fees as described in our document are subject to change.
Our deliveries are performed typically between the hours of 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Sunday. Earlier deliveries can be arranged for a surcharge.
It is your responsibility to provide us with all the recipients details, delivery order and special instructions such as: Name, Address, Buzzer Number, Phone Number, Product to be delivered (fragile, oversized,etc). If the item is not packaged or labelled properly our drivers have the right to refuse service. We want to always ensure we get your item safely to its destination.
Gophers are not responsible for payments of goods delivered and will not accept payment. All payments are to be arranged by you and settled before the delivery.
Delay, Loss, or Damage
Gopher It shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or unreasonable delays, arising from the following sources: (1) acts of God, or public enemies, (2) wars, riots, or insurrection, (3) strikes, (4) authority of law, (5) defect, or inherent vice, in goods shipped, (6) road accidents. Gopher It is not responsible for goods improperly wrapped or packed for shipment. We will not deliver to a location where our vehicles can incur damage due to poor road conditions.
Gopher It delivers through the seasons. In the event of a snow storm, wind or rain storm where the authorities have issued official warnings we will try our best to deliver your items, however, the time of delivery cannot be guaranteed, if we are able to deliver the following day we will do so.
We will obtain a signature or picture of your item and can send that to you.
Receipt of Deliveries
Deliveries are made directly to the recipient. In the instance that the recipient is not available it may left with a coworker or at the reception area of the workplace; a member of the family, provided that this is made at the delivery address. If no one is physically present to receive the package it will be left at the door providing that the weather and conditions are safe to do so. A call will be placed to the recipient to advise them of the location and time of delivery. If no number is provided and the package cannot be left outside, we will reroute the package to your location and a fee of $5 will be added to the original order. We do not enter the recipients premises when delivering your goods unless special written arrangements have been made prior to the delivery. We make every effort possible, within a reasonable time frame, to make the delivery and avoid rerouting the package. Having accurate information is crucial. We will provide a signature or photo to verify delivery when requested.
Our drivers are employees of Gopher It. They are all properly screened, trained, insured and skilled.
Under no circumstance will we deliver illegal goods. If you knowingly ship illegal products through us you assume all responsibilities, fines, or legal actions and release us of all liabilities.
You will indemnify us and keep us indemnified against any costs, expenses, liabilities, injuries, losses, damages, claims, demands, proceedings or legal costs and judgments which we suffer as a result of a breach of our terms of service.
General Exclusions of Liability
We will not be liable to you for any loss, damage, mis-delivery, non-delivery or delayed delivery of any package which occurs as a direct or indirect result of:
-Anything you or your employees or agents do or omit to do or any misstatement or misrepresentation you, your employees or agents make;
- The package being insufficiently or improperly packaged;
- The package being incorrectly or insufficiently addressed or labelled;
- The product shipped is already faulty, or damaged.
